[2] Rating: 5 Date: 2010-04-01 Summary: Realistic Strength Training Workouts for Beginner through Advanced ... 101 Workouts for Women is a solid strength training reference guide for any woman interested in obtaining and maintaining a lean, fit body. It won't do the work for you, nor will it give you dietary advice of any kind, but it will give you a well laid out guide to what exercises you should be doing (and how many), how you should be doing them (shown in color photos with fit, but not overly-buff women), and why (for what body parts these exercises are intended). I use this book along with the Strength Training Anatomy ...more
[3] Rating: 4 Date: 2010-03-06 Summary: Gives really good tips ... This book gives really good workout tips. The models are a little distracting because they highlight how you will never look in a million years. Plus they are so made up and hair dolled up, that it takes away from the authenticity of the workouts. But I like how the workouts are good for novices and the advanced, which allows you to grow with the book as you progress. ...more

Customer Reviews [1] Rating: 4 Date: 2009-05-22 Summary: work out ... This is a great book if you are young, in shape, and looking to join the military. If you are not in great shape then adhering to the workouts in this book will be difficult. The typical workout in this book could also take hours which is realistic if you are a SEAL since you will be allotted long periods of time for excercise. However if you are an average Joe and don't have 2-3 hours to do a force march followed by a one hour workout this probably isn't the book for you. ...more
