BMI (Body Mass Index) - BMI is a tool for indicating weight status in adults.1 It is a measure of weight for height. For adults over 20 years old, BMI falls into one of the following categories:
Below 18.5 Underweight
18.5 - 24.9 Normal
25.0 - 29.9 Overweight
30.0 and Above Obese
Body Fat - Amount of fat in one's body. First, your body fat percentage is simply the percentage of fat your body contains. If you are 150 pounds and 10% fat, it means that your body consists of 15 pounds fat and 135 pounds lean body mass (bone, muscle, organ tissue, blood and everything else).
Caloric Density - energy value; number of kcals in a food
Natural Foods - unchanged; contain no additives
Plaque - fatty deposits on the interior of artery walls
Ballistic stretching - see Stretching, ballistic
Diet - the food and drink a person or animal consumes in their normal life. Also refers to an eating plan for medical reasons or as a measure to promote weight loss
Fat Grams - a measure the fat content of a food. One gram of fat = 9 kCalories.
Hormones - chemical messenger substances in the body that are released into the blood from one location and that bind to target tissues at other locations and elicit specific responses. Insulin is a hormone
Ligament - a flexible, non-elastic tissue that connects bone to bone. Ligament injuries can be sprains or tears
Perceived exertion - the level of intensity you feel your body is exerting during exercise on a scale of 0 - 10. An unscientific way of staying within your target heart rate zone
Trapezius or "traps" - the triangular muscles stretching across your back from the spine to the shoulder blades and collarbone. Its used to "shrug" your shoulders

I probably won't until one of these days when I find an extra three or four grand in the couch cushions. I have hopes. I did, however, have the pleasure(?) of using one on multiple occasions during a Vegas trip. I work out every day, I'm in what I consider to be good shape for a girl (though if I was still girl-aged, I wouldn't refer to myself as one). This machine is fun to use, most of all. I have such a short attention span that I can barely make 20 minutes on a treadmill or elliptical ...more

Very strong sturdy piece of equipment. Nothing vibrates, squeaks or creaks. It's virtually silent and an absolute pleasure to use. I'm recovering from a back injury so I need equipment that will allow me to continue to work out but without hurting myself. I can get a very intense workout without back pain.
