So if you want to do weighted dips, pile on the weight and don't worry. Most dip stations of this quality sell for over $500. I weigh about 250lbs and regularly add 100lbs+ when I do dips, and this station doesn't even seem to notice. I put this dip station in the little gym at work, and everyone uses it. It's a great addition to any home gym. ...more
[2] Rating: 5 Date: 2007-10-20 Summary: very well made ... The sticker on the bottom of this thing says "American Designed - and very well made in China". Well, they ain't kidding. This is one hell of a nice piece of equipment. For starters, the shipping weight is 42 lbs. This thing is built like a truck. They use heavy steel box-sections for the frame, and the bolt flanges are welded all the way around, not just tacked. The bolts are beautifully plated, and they use nylon-collar lock nuts rather than a pile of split washers. In case you are wondering from looking at the photo, ...more

Customer Reviews — [1] Rating: 4 Date: 2010-05-16 Summary: Excellent ... Excellent Product. But Manual is a bit confusing(the screws and nuts). But common sense will tell you how to set it up (All brawn, no brain to whoever wrote the manual). A tip, Count all the screws, nuts, washers, every accessories provided. Then separate them and named each piece the number as the manual. That way might save you time. Another tip. Is that when setting up the stand, make sure you don't lock the nuts tightly. Also, use the washers provided. After all is set, then screw all the nuts tightly. Otherwise, ...more
[2] Rating: 4 Date: 2010-03-02 Summary: Great product at this price ... This tower is not perfect, but for about $150, you can't expect it to be. It is generally pretty sturdy - I am 5'10 205 pounds and I have not felt nervous about it breaking. It will give a little bit, but not enough to be any concern. If you weigh a lot more than I do, you might want something more substantial. I am using this primarily for pull ups, and thankfully so, since no matter how tight you tightern the bolts on the arms for the knee raises, they still slide about half an inch from left to right. There may ...more
