I had a little touble during assembly. After I finished putting it together it didn't sit flat on the ground. So I adjusted the nuts a little and it was fine after that. The bench is about 11.75 inches wide (pretty much the same for other benches), 41 inches long, and about 2.3 inches thick (padding). From the floor to the top of the pad is about 16.8 inches, which is pretty much the same height as most benches. It's got a tubular construction and is very solid. I am about 220lbs and use this for a flat bench and dumbbells, and this bench has not rocked, creaked, wiggled, or shifted under my body weight +200lbs. Seriously - ~ 1 hour and the parts are pretty solid considering I am sure they were made in China. I am 6' - 200#'s and am about the maximum size that can fit on this bench as other reviewers posted. If you are looking for a gym quality bench - this is not it. But if you want to throw around some 20-30 lb. weights on a pretty comfortable adjustable bench this is for you. I can say for certain that it will hold me with 200 lbs on 45 degree incline. I'm sure it holds more, but that's all I can speak too. It's really solid, and the padded surfaces are sturdy yet very comfortable. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the adjustability of the seat is limited (there are only two settings for raising the seat level - the first of which is barely above flat).
