... I've been searching for "the perfect tenor" all my life, and in Carlo Bergonzi I have found him. This is a marvelous album including forty tracks of Carlo Bergonzi's masterly and beautiful singing. All have been digitally remastered and the quality is simply terrific. I cannot recommend this great tenor highly enough. If you've never heard him before, you will be gratefully surprised. And look into the other Carlo Bergonzi materials available now at Amazon. ... I first came to appreciate the artistry that is Carlo Bergonzi on his magnificnt recording of Butterly with Renata Scotto. Later I got the privelege of hearing him several times in person. He was among the most intelligent of tenors. He knew his voice well and how to use that voice to convey the drama and music in a wonderful combination.
