The machine is smooth, solid, and always performs well. I originally bought it because I used a Precor at a health club for several years. The health club had several other elliptical makes; I preferred the Precors. The differences between this model and the club model are not all that great, certainly not worth paying more money for. It is lacking a hand-grip pulse monitor, but it does work with chest-strap pulse monitors. I tried other brands that were cheaper, but they felt cheap and wobbly.
