Customer Reviews [1] Rating: 5 Date: 2010-02-10 Summary: Good Quality Rower ... I'm a runner but needed a quieter workout (my treadmill can't really be used in my new condo). Stupid neighbors. I'm glad I chose this model instead of going for the one that is just a little over $100. The assembly instructions were cryptic (there is a blown-up bill of materials that inaccurately showed over 100 parts). I found it too daunting (due to cognitive deficits, maybe) and asked my brother-in-law for help. It took him only 15 minutes; homie even said it was EASY. I watched a few how-to-row-properly videos ...more
[2] Rating: 5 Date: 2009-12-13 Summary: Great Product; be careful with shipping! ... We ordered this product to help in a revamping of our exercise program, and it is absolutely great in that mission. The device assembles very easily and quickly; 15 minutes or less if you lay the parts out. There are two major assemblies, and you just attach the seat and put the two pieces together. In action, the device is smooth and quiet, and it can give you a very good workout in a relatively short period of time. The electronics package is good; the only issue some may have is that changing rowing resistance doesn't ...more

Customer Reviews [1] Rating: 4 Date: 2010-05-15 Summary: Smooth, precision unit. ... My wife and I have used our VR100 for three years now. I love the precision construction and we have had no problems with it at all. It folds up and gets out of the way in our guest bedroom fairly easily. The monitor isn't that great, and the clock doesn't keep correct time. For an alternative workout that is easy on the joints we really like it. ...more
[2] Rating: 4 Date: 2010-01-28 Summary: BodyCraft VR100 Review ... I've had the VR100 for a little over a week now. I've used it for thirty minutes every day. I'm very satisfied with it. I had used a Concept II Model D owned by a friend on several occassions and had originally thought that I would buy one of those. However, the Concept II is more than two feet longer than the VR100 and that was an issue for me. The VR100 is a solid machine. The only reservations I have is the pull mechanizim. Whereas the Concept II uses a chain, the VR100 uses a nylon strap about an inch or so wide. ...more

After using Lifecore Fitness' excellent 900 RB recumbent bike for the past 8 months, for a low impact good cardio workout, I recently purchased the company's R88 rower to exercise upper body muscles and provide an alternative to the bike. The rower was easy to assemble and took approximately 1/2 hour. The instructions are clearly written and well illustrated. ...more
[2] Rating: 4 Date: 2009-03-02 Summary: Pros and cons, overall good machine ... Pros, really get a good heart pumping workout. It is small and stores very well. Cons, it is noisy. I don't notice it as bad when I am using it, but when someone else is using it in our house it is loud. I do not like the manual tension dial, wished it was automatic. Over all it is a good machine, just not sure about the price. Wished it had been a little cheaper. ...more
