I played football in high school and lifted quite often and bulked up and am no stranger to fitness, but i never got the results that I achieved with P90X. Just follow the program and the nutrition guide (which is actually pretty easy to do) and I guarantee you will be ripped in just 90 days. I have tried a few video oriented programs in the past, even bought/sold a bowflex in the past 5 years. The problem with all of them was repetition. I cannot stand repetition. It kills my motivation to do just about anything. With P90x, there is enough variety that you dont get that effect at all. It also helps that some days, your doing cardio, some days resistance. I don't know if it's just me but for th second most resistant bands of the lot (purple ones offer more resistance) I was expecting a bit more. They are good, but not enough for me. I'm around 5'11", so you can't say I'm short, and for me it would have been better if it were a little tighter. My friend is 6'1 and it's way too small (not long enough) for him, so keep that in mind. Quality is decent, but it won't stand up to 4-hour a day every day use. For the average user it's tough enough. The hooks on the side for holding the weights are useless too. They just get in the way and I never could figure out how you were supposed to get them on the hooks without getting off the bench first, but then what's the point? ...more
